Hi everyone! I’m Chris, your local host in Quito — and a lifelong Liga Deportiva Universitaria supporter. As one of our famous chants says: "Una tarde mi viejo me llevó, y la vida nunca más nos separó" ("One afternoon, my dad took me to the stadium, and life never separated us again"). That’s how it all started for me — and now, Liga isn’t just a club, it’s a part of who I am (yes, I even have the tattoo to prove it!).

LDU, also known as Albos, Rey de Copas, and Centrales, is Ecuador’s most successful club, with 12 national championships and 5 international titles — including the Copa Libertadores, the greatest prize in South American football.
