Rome Matchday: The Romanisti Experience with AS Roma

Attending Roma vs Lecce through this experience gave me a completely different perspective on football in Italy. The pre-match atmosphere around the Olimpico was great, and our host helped us understand the culture behind AS Roma and its supporters. The match was a close one, with Roma pushing throughout until they found the breakthrough in the second half. Even though it ended 1-0, the atmosphere never dropped, fans were fully engaged from start to finish. Being part of a group and guided by a local made everything easier and more enjoyable. It really felt like watching the game as a Romanista rather than just a visitor.

This was exactly the kind of football experience I was hoping for in Rome. The stadium was loud the entire night and the tension in the final minutes was incredible. Being there with local fans who live the club every week made the experience unforgettable. Even with the draw, the atmosphere never dropped — the singing and passion from the Roma fans was amazing to witness.
