Vélez Sarsfield Matchday Experience 5⭐

Juan was a great host, even before before the game he was explaining the history of the club and showing me the different features and areas around the stadium. The match itself was great, with 4 and a lot of drama. And the atmosphere was amazing. I would highly recommend going to see a Velez game with Juan if you have the opportunity to whilst in Argentina!!

We went to Vélez v River with Juan who ensured our visit to Vélez was a great experience. Good lines of communication both before and after, Juan proved to be an ideal host. Knowing we had a lift home after the experience was priceless. Thanks Juan.

A great evening organised by Juan. Met close to the stadium and had a beer. Walked to the stadium and Juan pointed out some things and spoke about the history of Velez. We took photos and soaked up the atmopshere before heading into the club shop, where Juan explained to me the colours of the club. We made our way into the stadium, which is beautiful, especially under the lights with the views over the city. Juan took me back to my hotel after the game too. Whole time was perfect and laid back.

Juan and Maxi were fantastic hosts. My brothers and I went to watch a Velez game with them. They met us at a nearby shop before giving us a tour of nearby areas and taking us to the stadium shop. They were incredibly informative and happy to answer any questions. They made the security process very easy for us and we were able to watch the game sitting next to them. They even dropped us to our accommodation after the game. We would 100% recommend Juan to anyone wanting to watch a game in Argentina.

Juan and Maxi were great hosts, showing us various points around the stadium area and explaining the history of different features. My son and I really enjoyed the experience and care provided and would be very happy to go with Juan and Maxi again.

Juan was a great host. He had sent me information about the club and the logistics of the day beforehand. We then met near the stadium for a walk around some of the murals and the history. He was invaluable for helping to get through the tighter security measures for a Copa Libertadores match. Once inside, we watched a great game, although Vélez sadly lost 1-0! And then afterwards, Juan made sure that we left safely before dropping me off back at my hotel. A knowledgeable and informative host, and a nice guy too!

I met with Juan for empanadas and beer in a nearby pizzeria. He knows where to go near the stadium because on match days you can not find beer in most of the bars in the neighborhood. He is very friendly and a football enthusiast himself. He was well prepared, sent me articles before and showed me pictures and told me facts about the club and some more stories in the Stadium. Was really worth the tour because he showed me around safely and had really interesting knowledge that you can not just google easily.

We were taken to the Velez vs San Martin match by Juan, along with his 12 year old daughter who was a real sweetie, and a Velez supporter ! Juan collected us from our hotel, and dropped us back after the match. It was a top night, and Velez won 1-0. We visited a ranch style restaurant before the match for empanadas (the best we tasted on our trip), visited the stadium store to buy the obligatory shirt, then to the stadium. Boy are the South Americans passionate supporters !! Great atmosphere, and I would repeat the experience in a heartbeat. Highly recommend. Thank you Juan for your company, and for making us feel safe in an unfamiliar environment.

We had a fantastic match day at Velez with Juan & Rama. Both were incredibly passionate and knowledgable about Argentinian football - this is an absolute must for your trip to BA!
