Match Day Experience - Veléz Sarsfield, the Buenos Aires’ modern giant

The host, Adrian, was incredibly dedicated and stood out with his exceptional football knowledge — something you rarely experience. Attending a Velez Sarsfield match with him made the experience even more special, as this is clearly his club and his passion truly shows. The stadium is impressive and feels like a real fortress. Even though it was only half full, the atmosphere was still lively and engaging. Velez is a great and very likeable club with a certain special character that sets it apart. If you’re considering going to a Velez match, go with Adrian — you won’t regret it!

On Sunday, November 16th, we went to Velez Sarsfield vs. River Plate with Ezequiel as our host. It was a fantastic experience; he's a member of the club's social team and was able to tell us all about Velez. Velez's stadium is also a must-see; the fans are passionate, which is fantastic to experience. Transportation to and from the hotel was also perfectly arranged. The only downside was that Velez unfortunately didn't score and the game ended in a draw. But as a host, there's little you can do about that. Gira Futbolera is an excellent company to attend matches. We highly recommend them!

We attended the Velez Sarsfield vs Talleres de Córdoba match on Saturday Nov. 1st at Estadio Jose Amalfitani. It was easy to get there, communication and instructions with Homefans were very clear. Our guide Deborah was friendly and knowledgeable. The overall value for money was great, it was one of the most reasonably priced experiences we found during our research. I would advise anyone attending to wear plenty of sunblock, wear a hat/sunglasses and stay hydrated. The location of the seats were in direct sunlight the entire time; it got quite hot. Beer and alcohol are not served inside the stadium, snacks and non-alcoholic options are available but limited. I recommend this for anyone looking for a genuine, neighborhood team with lots of history and a unique stadium experience.
