Hello! I’m João, your local host in Rio de Janeiro, and I want to show you Flamengo and Maracanã from a local perspective.

I've lived and breathed Flamengo since I was born, a passion I inherited from my grandfather, who took my father to watch Zico play at Maracanã, and I've been going to the Maracanã since I was 5 years old.

Watching Flamengo at Maracanã is much more than going to a football match. On matchday, the city changes, the streets become red and black, and experiencing a Flamengo match at Maracanã is something else entirely. After all, this is one of the most iconic stadiums on the planet!

That’s exactly what this experience is about.

You won't be on a generic match-day tour in Rio, but rather an immersive experience of what life is like for a true Flamengo fan and Maracanã regular! We'll start the experience at a bar frequented by local Flamengo fans before every match. In a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, we'll have a reserved table and a welcome drink to get things started. It's an opportunity to relax, meet other fans, and hear stories about Flamengo, Maracanã and Brazilian football. From there, we’ll make our way to Maracanã together.
