Opened in 1950 for the World Cup, the Maracanã was once the largest stadium on the planet and has become the stage for unforgettable moments in the history of the sport. Pelé scored his thousandth goal here in 1969, the whole world watched two World Cup finals (1950 and 2014), and it was here that Brazil won its first Olympic gold medal in football in 2016.

The Maracanã is Flamengo's home. Great players like Zico, Romário, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Adriano, and Gabigol have played here. Best of all, you’ll experience the "Temple of Football" with a guide who is always in the stands cheering for Flamengo. Besides being a guide, I'm a passionate fan!

The tour includes visits to the locker rooms, the team benches, the stands, the mixed zone, and a historical collection featuring iconic jerseys from the Brazilian National Team and Rio de Janeiro clubs. We will also see the Walk of Fame, honoring some of the great stars of Brazilian and world football history.

The tour continues with a short walk outside the stadium, where you will see the statue of Bellini—captain of the Brazilian National Team during the 1958 and 1962 World Cups—and the Maracanãzinho (viewed from the outside).

Then, we'll stop at Bode Cheiroso, a traditional bar frequented by Flamengo fans before matches, where you’ll enjoy a cold draft beer!

After visiting the bar, we will drive to Gávea, which is not only the name of the neighborhood but also the common name for the headquarters of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. There, we will visit the Flamengo Museum.

The Flamengo Museum features 14 themed areas that celebrate the club's greatest icons and commemorate its major achievements. Inside the museum, you will find uniforms, trophies, medals, flags, and sports equipment that trace the club's history from its founding in 1895 to the present day.

There is also a special area dedicated to the Copa Libertadores victories and the 1981 world title—won against Liverpool in Tokyo—which stands as one of Flamengo's greatest achievements.

From the history of the Maracanã to a beer at a traditional Flamengo bar and the club's greatest moments, this is a chance to discover the Flamengo Nation through the eyes of a passionate local fan.
