Hello! My name is Gonçalo. I’m a big Benfica supporter and if you’re a football fan don’t miss the chance to watch Benfica play at Estádio da Luz, Portugal’s largest stadium!

You probably know Benfica for its rich history and legendary players, but there is so much more to discover! Of course, the match will be the highlight of the tour, but I’ve planned a full day before the game so that you can experience the passion of Benfica’s incredible fanbase, the famous “Inferno da Luz”, and learn about the club’s glorious legacy in Portuguese football.

Our day will start with a true taste of Lisbon—a delicious meal at a handpicked local restaurant where you can enjoy some of the best Portuguese dishes. Whether you’re into fresh seafood, a hearty “Bifana” sandwich, or the iconic Bacalhau à Brás, I’ll make sure you try something memorable. Over lunch, we’ll chat and get to know each other.

After lunch, we’ll visit Benfica’s Official Store, where you can check out (or buy) official merchandise and souvenirs to remember this special experience.

If you want there is the option to visit the Benfica Museum, where you can explore the club’s legendary history, see its most iconic trophies, and relive unforgettable moments that shaped Benfica into what it is today.
Next, we’ll join Benfica’s passionate supporters outside the stadium, where the energy is contagious. You’ll hear the chants, see the red-and-white flags waving, and get swept up in the excitement of matchday in Luz. We’ll grab a couple of beers and experience the pre-game rituals that make Benfica’s fanbase one of the most respected in the world.
And then, it’s time for the main event! We’ll head inside Estádio da Luz, where the legendary Eagle flies over the pitch before kickoff—a breathtaking tradition that will give you chills. From the first whistle to the last, you’ll feel the power of the Benfiquistas singing in unison as we support the team together.
I’m not just a guide – I’m a football lover who has lived and breathed this club. Having been around the team in different ways, I have plenty of stories and insights to share. My goal is to make this more than just a match—it’s about embracing the passion, the culture, and the excitement of one of Europe’s greatest clubs.

I cannot overstate how incredible this experience was. What was sold as a "matchday ticket and local host" turned into one of the most authentic, warm, and unforgettable days of my travels. From the very first message, Goncalo was exceptional. He wasn't just organising a trip to the game, he was welcoming me into his world. His communication was perfect, and he tailored the day to ensure I got the full, genuine local experience, not just the tourist version. On the day itself, Goncalo went above and beyond. He met me early, explained the history of the club and its rivalry, and you could feel his genuine passion. He navigated everything seamlessly, from the best pre-match atmosphere to the perfect seats where we could feel the energy of the crowd. But here’s where it became truly special, he included me in his own personal matchday tradition. This is where I need to give a massive, special shout-out to his father and his best friend. They weren't just along for the ride, they were integral to the experience. His father shared incredible stories and insights that you'd never read in a guidebook, offering a perspective filled with decades of loyalty. His best friend had an infectious energy that made the whole day feel like I was with old friends, laughing and cheering together. Their welcome was so sincere, it felt like being adopted into their matchday family for the day. The match itself was brilliant, but honestly, the people made it legendary. Chanting with them, feeling the highs and lows, and then celebrating (or commiserating!) together after the final whistle was pure magic. I am truly, deeply grateful to Goncalo for his outstanding hosting, and to his father and best friend for their incredible warmth and hospitality. This wasn't a tour, it was a privilege. If you want to feel the soul of a football club and create memories that last a lifetime, book this experience without hesitation. You won't regret it!
