Matheus was an excellent guide for the Flamengo basketball game. He was very knowledgable about the history of the club overall, and knew a lot about the players on the basketball team. Although the level of basketball in the Brazilian NBB league is lower than what many basketball fans would expect from the NBA, it was still quite a fun experience watching two teams composed of mostly Brazilians play. The seats are quite close to the court so you get a great view of the game, and refreshments are available. Matheus is a great guy who speaks very solid English, so he is easy to communicate with during the game. I highly recommend going to the game through Matheus if you want an authentic Brazilian basketball experience! Obrigado.

I had a great time pre-gaming with the Flamengo fans and Matheus, and then the match itself was a great experience, the atmosphere inside was very lively sitting near the ultra fans! I would do it again when I next visit Rio! :) Obrigado!
