  I couldn’t agree more with all the other five star ratings! I was positively surprised by the seamless experience and the great organisation. I would recommend it even to families, young and old. Even my girlfriend, who is not a football fan, loved every minute of it and said it was one of the absolute highlights of her trip to Rio.

  Matheus was a superb host with attending the Flamengo v Santos game 09/11/2025. From the initial booking up to the day of the game Matheus was in regular contact. It was so easy to provide all the details including photo of myself and passport for facial recognition to the Maracana Stadium. We met at a bar 5 minutes from the stadium for a few beers and food and Mathues updated us on what to expect next. At the stadium the atmosphere was electric and that was before the game!!! Such a spectacular evening with Flamengo winning 3-2. Highly recommend Matheus as a host to attend a football game. Well done Mathues!!! 😎🙏🇧🇷

  Amazing. From start to finish. Matheus was a great host from being in contact a week before the game, from providing updates of the whole plan and where he would be to meet him. Getting to the game was made easy and entering the ground was seamless with the new facial recognition entry. Will definitely contact Matheus again when in Rio in the future.

  We had a brilliant time with Matheus at the Flamengo vs Palmerias match at the Maracana. Matheus helped with the process of registering our faces beforehand and was able to check and realise that one of them hadn’t processed properly so we could fix it. This meant that we had no problems on the day. We had a great time at the pub before the match meeting people and then he guided us into the stadium without problem. A great day, really smoothly done. Thanks Matheus.

  A fantastic experience at the Maracana. Matheus made the new facial recognition entry process very clear and easy in the weeks prior to the game. Matchday was also incredibly well organised, from the pre-match meet at the bar, to securing our seats, to ensuring we were able to order our Ubers from a low-traffic area not far from the stadium after the game. A sell-out matchday on a Thursday evening that could have been stressful, was made very easy.

  Went to Flamengo v Vasco da Gama game on 21/09/25. Brilliant seat and atmosphere at the Maracana Stadium. Matheus sorted tickets and ID out very easily beforehand and the bar for the meeting place was easy to find. Perfect all round. Recommend

  The match-day experience with Matheus was truly unforgettable and became a highlight of our vacation in Rio. My friend and I had one of the most memorable moments of our lives watching the U20 Flamengo vs. FC Barcelona Intercontinental Cup Championship at Maracanã Stadium. The atmosphere was electric, with an energy so powerful that I nearly lost my voice from cheering. The passion of the fans was unmatched, and when Flamengo clinched victory on penalties, the celebrations spilled into the streets. To cap it all off, Matheus took us to a local bar filled with live music, where the joy of the night carried on long after the final whistle. I would always recommend booking with Matheus.

  It was an amazing experience to attend the Flamengo match with Matheus and Victor, it was also wonderful to meet all the other football fans from all over the world attending the experience and enjoy the amazing atmosphere together. Everything went very smoothly from the initial communication about the arrangements, finding the meeting place and having pre-match drinks and food, the use of the facial recognition, which was easy and works very well to getting safely to and from the stadium. It was all made even better by Flamengo winning 4 nil !   Recently back from Brazil where I watched multiple games with Matheus and the Homefans team in both Rio and Sao Paulo. Matheus quite simply is a legend of the game, knows his Brazilian football inside out and more than happy to talk about the game and share more information over and above his commercial interests. Everything was very well organised and disciplined but also came with a friendly side to it all.   If you are in Rio -Flamengo game experience is must thing to do ! As I have been to many games ,but have never seen anything like this before .It was so much fun ! 10 from 10 .   We often go to soccer games when we travel and have watched games throughout Europe and the US. This was the best experience because we experienced with the local fans. Matheus was a phenomenal guide from the start, navigating us through the tricky new facial recognition with extra effort due to complications. We met at a local bar then joined the masses walking to the stadium. The concourse before the game was festive with fan clubs chanting and drumming. And the stands... so much fun to sit in the local fan section!! It elevated our experience, and we would not have been able to enjoy it in the same way without Matheus. Highly recommend!

  Our experience with Matheus was absolutely amazing. We were a large group of 13, but he seamlessly took care of everything—securing our tickets and registering us for Maracanã’s new facial recognition system.   My wife and I had an awesome experience at Flamengo vs Vasco at Maracanã stadium! Matheus and Victor were both really responsive in the build up and worked hard to get us all signed up with the facial recognition system, so that the day of the match was stress free.   Amazing experience!! 10/10 and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience a soccer match in Maracana in a safe and comfortable environment. We were in Rio on a business trip and checked to see if there were playing any matches in Maracana during our stay. Long story short we found this website and after reading the good reviews we bought the tickets. Matheus (and Bruna) was an excellent host and guide; everything went exactly as described: we met with Matheus and took the metro to a bar close to the stadium. In the bar we enjoyed some nice drink and food, very reasonably priced and nice/safe environment. After Matheus handed us our tickets and we took a short walk to Maracana stadium and got inside without any problems; we enjoyed the game (they sold beer at 3$!!) and when it was over we walked back to the same bar, but we were tired and decided to take an uber to the hotel. Everything went exactly as described ; we had an absolutely great time and would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to experience a football match in Maracana. Will probably do it again next time we are in Rio :)

  My husband I went to the Flamengo v Atletico Mineiro at the Maracana stadium with Matheus and Bruna. From the start communication with Matheus was excellent. He have detailed and explicit instructions on meeting places, timings and do’s and don’ts which was very helpful. The day was well organised and after meeting at the metro we attended a Flamengo pub for food and drinks and to be immersed in the Flamengo atmosphere and culture. Matheus was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The atmosphere at the stadium was incredible and again Matheus made sure everyone was looked after. After the game we went back to the pub before heading back to the hotel. If you want to experience brazilian football, this is an experience not to be missed.

  Amazing experience! Attended the FlaFlu derby at Maracana with Matheus and it was so fun. Met up with him and our group and he gave me my jersey, we took the metro to the neighborhood, had some drinks and got to know each other, and then enjoyed a great game and some hanging out after. Really fun time, Matheus knows all about the neighborhood and is a good guy and group leader, and loved getting to go with a bunch of other fans who wanted to experience the game. Highly recommend to all.

  The Maracana had been on my bucket list for some time as a true cathedral of a football ground. It did not disappoint with Matheus' organisation exceptional from us meeting at a nearby bar, helping to get everyone to the turnstiles and to their seats, paying for refreshments after the match, and arranging transportation back to our acommodation. He is also a well mannered man and passionate about his club and this really came across to the group with the group all relaxed and enjoying themselves. Thoroughly recommended.

  Absolutely loved the experience, it was great to finally go to a football game in South America, you don’t realise how big Flamengo is as a club until you’re in Rio. Matheus was fantastic, passionate fan of Flamengo and had great football knowledge. Matheus communication before the game was great. The instructions that were sent was interesting, especially not to wear a Brazilian national shirt (as some might say in England, Club before Country!) or an Iron Maiden t-shirt (as this represents an rival club) however it’s fully understood and I thought It was great to know. Matheus, met us at the metro station (easy to find and easy to get an Uber too). The local bar was nice and affordable too, Matheus got us all a beer, which was highly appreciated. The walk to the stadium was less than 10 mins away. The security check points straight forward too. The seats where Matheus sits, are great. Matheus is a member of the #12 (the biggest supporters group in Brazil), so if you want an almost ultra vibes. Then the atmosphere was great throughout the game. Best advise, once Matheus shows you your seat and the area your sat in. Then get yourself down into the concourse. 30 mins before kick off, that’s where the party is happening, with the #12 group. This is where the flag bearers and drummers get together and create an atmosphere. Which was amazing to see. What was even better, was to be able to drink beer at the game (its costs €2 a beer and can be paid contactless too) so you could get yourself carried away haha Overall, great experience, amazing to be in the Maracana. I can only imagine that the big games in there would be unbelievable. Thank you Matheus

  Going to the Flamengo game was a top highlight from my vacation in Rio De Janiero! The game itself was a nail biting encounter but the experience as a whole was sensational. Matheus is a responsive, punctual, organized and committed tour guide. Furthermore, he is a knowledgeable and informative Flamengo super fan and member of the community. I learnt a lot about Brazil and Rio because of him. From the moment I asked my first questions before buying my tickets until the post game bar drinks he has been an amazing tour guide who took care of us, got us to the game on time and made us feel comfortable as visitors to a foreign country and foreign football fan base. I left the game as a Flamengo game and I managed to get the jersey through him. Obrigado, meu amigo! Looking forward to my next game in Rio!

  I was in Brazil for Carnaval and wanted to see a soccer game live. I happened across this site and I will say the experience was great. They set you up from pickup to drop off so you have nothing to worry about. Our host Victor did an awesome job. Even though the subway closed early for some reason to return he offered to get us Ubers back home. I recommend. The soccer game itself is crazy, the fans are amazing.

  This was was a classic night watching Flu v Bolivar in a midweek Copa match. Small yet great fun and diverse group with guests from the Cayman Islands, USA, Russia and Argentina. Very enjoyable pre-match drinks and food in very safe Flu bar , mixing with Mattheus’ mates and other Flu fans. Mattheus looked after us very well and we felt very safe throughout this classic experience. Highly recommended

  A quality experience made even better by great company. My partner wasn’t sure about going to a game as we had been warned about being safe walking around Rio at night so I booked this experience in order to be part of a group that knew where to go and what to do around the game. Matheus was a fantastic guide and went out of his way to help us before we even arrived as we had issues with the booking process and our originally planned match was rearranged at the last minute. He was assisted by four other guides, as we were part of a bigger group, and we couldn’t ask for a more helpful bunch. Thanks especially to Mari who got my partner out of a sticky situation by translating between my partner and the security guard who didn’t recognise my partners medical device on the way into the stadium. Also shout out to the other Matheus who put aside his Botafogo fandom for one night! This experience is a bargain once you consider the level of safety and knowledge you’re getting from local guides. They will take you to a cool bar pre-game (the ox-cheek Coxinha was the best I had in Rio) and then to the best seats in one of the world’s great stadia. They’ll even get you safely on the subway home! Easy 5 stars and I would recommend it to anyone looking to catch a game in Rio.

  When my girlfriend and I decided to holiday in Brazil, I made watching a match a must-do activity. I found Homefans accidentally while searching for FlaFlu tickets on third-party ticket sites. Needless to say, I don't regret my decision to avoid the big sites and go with Homefans. It ended up being the trip's highlight and helped me connect with Brazilians elsewhere later on. Experiencing FlaFlu with Matheus made the match much more memorable. Beforehand, he took us by metro to an area outside the stadium where supporters congregated. We drank beers, met other like-minded folks, and watched supporters play drums and wave flags. Matheus educated us about Flamengo's history and importance as well as the FlaFlu rivalry. He made entry to the stadium quick and easy, and the match was a joy to watch. We were seated beside Flamengo supporters groups, which cheered from match start to finish. Afterward, he returned by metro to the meeting point. After Rio, I visited the Brazilian Pantanal for wildlife watching. While there, I wore my Flamengo shirt to dinner one night at a hotel. The waitstaff saw the shirt, got excited, and asked if I liked Flamengo. I told them I watched FlaFlu in person the week before and showed them videos from the match. They were so surprised I went to the match that they invited me to their home to watch a Flamengo-Gremio match. That was a fantastic experience, too --one I wouldn't have found on the typical tourist trail. Thanks to Homefans and Matheus, I watched FlaFlu at the Maracanã and a Flamengo-Gremio match in a small northern Pantanal village with people I now call great friends.

  Matheus took my family and I (as well as a handful of other friendly guests) to see the local derby Fluminense-Flamengo at Maracaña in July of 2023. It was a memorable experience for sure. The atmosphere was enthralling and the match was intense at this legendary stadium. We had good seats close to the Flamengo fans and with a clear view of the pitch. It’s easy to get drinks and snacks during the match and the logistics in and around Maracaña works well. Before the match Matheus took us to get a beer in a street nearby full of partying Flamengo fans with flags, singing, music, barbecue, and beers. It was an authentic and super fun build-up to the game. We felt safe and well taken care of the entire time from being picked up at a local metro station close to our hotel to being dropped off there again at the end of the day. Matheus reached out to me well ahead of the match to share relevant information and answer questions. His English is good and he was punctual and managed the whole process in a tidy manner.   We booked a matchday experience with Homefans to attend the Flamengo-Fortaleza game at the Maracana on 1st July 2023. This was the most entertaining and enjoyable aspect of our two week holiday in Brazil, and I would recommend it to anyone - even those who aren't big soccer fans. Matheus met us as planned at the metro station, near Copacabana, and brought us for drinks to a place where Flamengo fans congregate, about 10 mins walk from the stadium. We were in an upper tier of the stadium, to the side of one of the goals, and the atmosphere was electric - very noisy and excited fans singing, dancing and chanting for the entire game. And the fact that Flamengo won 2-0 was great! Matheus then brought us back on the metro and made sure we got back OK. Overall, a superb service - we felt very much looked after by Matheus, and it was great value at €79 per person. Highly recommended!

  I cannot believe it took me a year and a half of living in Brazil to spend a day at Maracanã! Matheus' Flamengo Matchday Experience will go down as one of my favorite experiences during my time in this country. Energy, passion for the sport, and the vivacious Carioca spirit is tangible throughout the whole day; from the metro ride to the pre-game BBQ/beers all the way until the metro ride home with other Flamengo fans (hopefully after a win)!   Loved my visit to the Maracana with Matheus. Football in Brasil is a passion and going with a local person who knows the stadium, the areas for pre-drinks and loves his team is always a much better experience than a solo trip. The organisation, pre-communications and day itself were all excellent and I would highly recommend this trip to everyone even if its not your first football experience in Brasil. Also a chance to go to the most famous stadium in the world cant be missed. Tips and Advice: 1. You can drink a beer while watching the game but its much easier with cash than card 2. Food in the stadium is average, so get food outside or before the trip 3. Depending on where you sit in the stadium and time of year but the sun is hot and so have a cap or something for the sun I would highly recommend this trip and Matheus is a great host with excellent English and I felt safe and looked after throughout the experience.

  This was an experience I’ll never forget. Matheus is a great host, organising everything from the metro ticket to the game ticket. He even organised gluten free beer for me!   I want to start off by saying how brilliant of a host Matheus is. Me and my friend were travelling to Rio by bus, which was unfortunately caught in some bad traffic and therefore heavily delayed. Matheus communicated with us and arranged a meeting point for us, waited for us longer than was planned for the rest of the group and even managed to sort a place for us to store our large bags during the game. The game itself was incredible, the Maracana and the atmosphere was surreal. The experience of seeing a derby and especially in such a historic stadium cannot be overstated as to how amazing it is. Matheus also made sure that we got home all ok and made sure that we got our bags back after the game. He was a superb host and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone there enjoyed themselves.   Watching Flamengo at the Maracanã was the highlight of our trip to Rio, and we're so happy that we decided to go with Matheus. He takes away the stress of securing tickets, getting to the match and back, navigating the stadium etc. You will get to hang out with the fans pre-match, and then join them in the stadium. I definitely recommend doing a Flamengo game and going with Matheus makes it so much better!

  What an epic day! Met some lovely people, had a wonderful time. Matheus was really great and very accommodating. He even paid for things out of his own pocket, until we could pay him back later, because we forgot to bring cash! My boyfriend is a big football fan, so he obviously enjoyed it, but even for myself, someone who knows hardly anything about football, I can definitely say I had such a good time and it felt like one big party with (new) friends!! Highly recommend :)

  Wow, what a FUN way to experience Brazilian football. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see a slice of life in Rio, even if you aren't a football fan. I went with my husband and teenaged daughter. My daughter and I don't care a bit about football but were going for the experience and it was a BLAST!!! We met our group near the stadium and had BBQ and beer before heading to the match. A side note, we were met and escorted from our hotel which was really nice. Matheus got us right in the middle of things and boy was it fun. We stood and cheered and sang along right in the middle of all of Matheus' friends. It was amazing. Matheus explained things very clearly and kept checking in with us to make sure we understood what was going on and if we were having a great time and did we need more beer. ;) Book this. You will not regret it. Best way to spend a few hours and get a real Rio local experience. I would 100% do this again if I am lucky enough to visit Rio in the future.

  This was the best futbol/soccer game I have been to! The stadium is legendary. The team and fans are the most authentic. Our guides and friends were very cool, fun to hang out with, and helpful. They even sent us a picture of when we could be seen in the crowd. I felt very lucky to get to experience it. I’ve seen matches in Germany, and Argentina and Brazil was my favorite and so is the Jersey I bought when we were chanting around fireworks outside the stadium.

  Went to the semi final of Copa Libertadores, Flamengo-Gremio (5-0) and this was the best football game experience in my life! The host, Matheus, is very friendly, he makes you feel comfortable, knows a lot of football and is the best host you can wish for. If you want to visit Flamengo, book this tour!
