Hi there, my name is Marcelo, and I’m a lifelong Fluminense fan. For me, football is not just a sport – it’s part of who we are. And I’d love to take you with me to feel what it truly means to be Fluminense, right in the heart of Rio, at the legendary Maracanã Stadium.

Since 1902, Fluminense F.C. has stood proudly for its colors – green, white, and grenadine – and I grew up dreaming under those same colors. Our club has made history in Brazilian football with four league titles, one national cup, and over 30 local trophies. But what makes it even more special is the family behind it: our supporters, our players, and the stories that bring us all together.

You’ve probably heard of stars like Marcelo, Fabinho, and Thiago Silva – they all wore this shirt before the world knew their names. And even now, the club continues to shape the future of football, with talents like Richarlison, João Pedro, Evanilson, and Ibanez having started their journeys right here.

What a fabulous experience watching Fluminense at the Maracana. Such a privilege to see football in this iconic stadium. Never thought I would get the opportunity. Marcelo was excellent and Carrow was really nice with my wife. Being 68 & 69 it was reassuring to be looked after by such lovely people. One of the major highlights of our month's holiday. Having just returned from my 1st trip to Rio, I have to say the football match at Maracana stadium with Marcelo was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Marcelo met us at the metro station promptly, and took us to a local bar for a drink prior to the match. The match itself was epic with the home team scoring the winning goal in the last 10 seconds of extra time. There was an amazing atmosphere throughout the game, and of course complete jubilant chaos (in a good way) with the goal. I highly recommend this for any sports fan, or even if you don't like sports, just to begin to understand the passion for football in Brazil.

Incredible experience for me and my family, including 2 children (7&11). Marcelo met us at the agreed tube station and guide us to the pre-match bar. The atmosphere was incredible, is was very busy so we were so glad with booked this through Homefans. Absolutely brilliant! Football and Brazil go hand in hand, so seeing a match live here was a lifelong dream of mine—and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was electric. Watching Fluminense fans gather in the stadium before kick-off, singing for the team as the players warmed up, was something special. You just don’t get that back in England. And walking into the Maracanã with facial recognition tech? Properly impressive. No queues, no faffing with paper tickets or QR codes—just seamless. Snagging a Thiago Silva souvenir cup was the cherry on top!

I went with Marcelo to Maracanã Stadium. It was a complete experience. We had fun on the lively Rio metro, arrived at Maracanã with ease, started drinking beer, and soon watched Fluminense win 4-0. The stadium wasn’t packed, but the crowd was incredibly energetic. The drums and chants were electrifying. I don’t even know what else to say: Rio de Janeiro, Carnival, and Football. Esperienza incredibile al Maracanà. Ho assistito alla partita tra Fluminense e Bahia in compagnia della mia ragazza e l’atmosfera elettrizzante dello stadio ci ha coinvolto dal primo all’ultimo minuto. La Fluminense ha vinto 1-0 e i tifosi hanno continuato ad accompagnarci con il loro calore fino all’uscita dallo stadio. Marcelo è una persona stupenda e super disponibile. Abbiamo viaggiato con lui fino allo stadio da Copacabana in metropolitana e ci ha accompagnati anche al ritorno. Durante il viaggio ci ha spiegato tantissime cose sulla storia della Fluminense di cui è un vero tifoso! Una delle cose imperdibile è sicuramente il pre match in un Boteco locale con birra e cibo tipico, tra i più buoni provati a Rio! Se siete alla ricerca di un’esperienza unica e diversa dal solito con Marcelo andate sul sicuro! Not just a football game! Incredible experience at the Maracanã. I watched the match between Fluminense and Bahia with my girlfriend, and the electrifying atmosphere of the stadium drew us in from the first to the last minute. Fluminense won 1-0, and the fans kept the energy going all the way until we left the stadium. Marcelo is an amazing and super-friendly person. We traveled with him from Copacabana to the stadium by subway, and he even brought us back. During the trip, he told us so many things about the history of Fluminense, of which he’s a real fan! One of the must-do things is definitely the pre-match in a local Boteco with beer and typical food, some of the best we’ve tried in Rio! If you’re looking for a unique and different experience, you can’t go wrong with Marcelo!

Just arrived back in London and all my daughter can talk about is our game at the Maracana last Wednesday with Marcelo & Caio. If anyone is remotely thinking of attending a Fluminense game, then Marcelo is the person to guide through the experience. His love & passion for his club shone through and he expertly explained the history of the club and the Maracana. This really was a 'bucket list' thing for me to attend a game here and it beat all expectations because of Marcelo & Caio. We were also lucky in that we picked a great game to watch, with Fluminense finally running out winners 3-2.

We were escorted to the match with Marcelo and co. The whole thing was very smooth and ran on time. During our metro journey to the Maracanã, we were told the history of Fluminense and the rivalry between the two clubs. Outside the stadium, we stopped to take pictures and had a drink amongst local fans taking in the atmosphere. The game was amazing and it was brilliant to get to experience such a good atmosphere in one of world football's most famous stadiums. Marcelo and the team also brought us back to our original stop, and ensuring that everyone was okay in getting back to heir accommodation from there. All in all, an excellent experience, that was made super straight forward thanks to the hosts. Highly recommend.
