The race is officially sanctioned by the Peruvian Athletics Federation and certified by World Athletics and AIMS, making it a Boston Marathon qualifying event for athletes who achieve the required times. From 2025 onward, Lima 42K is also part of the Mega Finisher South America Run Series, connecting runners across five countries in the region.

The Lima 42K course starts in Miraflores and follows a spectacular route along the coastline, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Lima’s iconic cliffs. Runners pass through key city landmarks, modern avenues, and historic areas, experiencing the city’s unique blend of urban life, coastal scenery, and cultural heritage.

The event is designed for runners of all levels. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, a Boston qualification, or your next international race experience, Lima 42K delivers a fast, scenic, and memorable challenge. Shorter distances, including the 21K, are also available.
