Manchester United Pre-Match Experience – Old Trafford Build-Up with a Local Fan (No Match Ticket Included)

I’m Paul, your host and a lifelong Manchester United supporter – I went to my first match more than 50 years ago!

This experience is all about the build-up to matchday in Manchester. We’ll start at the National Football Museum, right in the heart of the city, where thousands of items tell the history of the beautiful game.

Then we’ll head for a drink at Sinclair’s Oyster Bar, one of Manchester’s oldest pubs, dating back to 1720 and famous for its atmosphere.

From there, we’ll take the metro towards Old Trafford, stopping at The Tollgate Pub, the legendary pre-match gathering place of the Red Army. Packed with fans, chants, and songs, this is where the matchday vibe peaks. After another pint, we’ll take a short walk to Theatre of Dreams itself, soaking in the atmosphere with food stands, scarves, and music all around.

After the final whistle, we’ll return to the city centre by tram, hopefully celebrating a United win with thousands of fellow Reds.

This is more than sightseeing – it’s living the rituals and traditions of Manchester United on a matchday, without needing a ticket to the game itself.
