São Paulo Lower League Matchday Experience

Football in São Paulo has its origins in the late 19th and early 20th centuries with numerous clubs and stadiums emerging in the most localities of the city. Over the decades, only 4 or 5 of this clubs compete in Brazil’s top leagues, but the vast majority still preserve their local traditions, stadiums and culture! Come and discover with me an authentic experience and neighbourhood atmosphere where tourists don’t usually visit, unlike all the glamour of the big clubs and stadiums!

Here the stories of these clubs and stadiums are preserved by the residents of these neighbourhoods and what remains of their fanatical fans. A bar with cheap beer, traditional snacks and that conversation with local fans are striking features of these games.

Some of the teams we can visit – depending on the day, schedule and month – are Juventus, Nacional, Portuguesa, Ibrachina, EC São Bernardo, São Bernardo FC, Santo André, São Caetano, Audax Osasco and Paulista de Jundiaí. In January, we can watch a match from the mythical Copa São Paulo; from February to May, we have the Paulistão B, A4, A3 and A2; in the second half of the year, we have the Copa Paulista, Brazilian series D and C and Paulista U-20.

In this experience we’ll meet in the central area of São Paulo and head to the game together, by public transportation and/or Uber. No need to worry about planning where to go, how to get a ticket for entrance or how to travel. We got you covered!

Note: matchs exact day and time are decided only weeks or days before the game by the local federation. Once the information is released we can confirm which games are available. But don’t worry, bookings can be made up to 24 hours before the game and you can also request something special, just send a message.
