  Awesome time with Pedro and his brother at the game. Super easy to do everything and communicate with Pedro. My wife and I had a great time and was an incredible experience to visit Maracana. And of course Fluminense won! Thx Pedro!!!

  Pedro and his brother were excellent hosts. Clear instructions on meeting point and how to register for facial recognition. Time to enjoy pre match atmosphere and good seats behind the goal. And after the game we were taken to a very good spot to eat and drink or simply get a cab back to our hotel. I assume you could attend a game at the Maracana in your own but would heartily recommend you do it this way

  This was absolutely brilliant, the pre-match was fantastic and we were taken to a great part of the stadium behind one of the goals and near the ultras’ instruments. What was most impressive about this particular experience (besides Thiago Silva’s 98th minute volley winner) was Pedro’s communication. We had initially booked Fluminense vs Atlético Mineiro, but the mid-season changes to the Brasilerão meant that we would only be there for Fluminense vs Juventude. Pedro navigated this perfectly and simply provided us with tickets to the correct game. He then, despite me checking multiple times a day to see if they had announced the TV schedule for the matches, messaged me with the match time before I could find out myself, virtually minutes after it was announced. Despite eventually managing a group of about 20 people, he got us all safely to and from the stadium and got a round in for all of us.

  I found Homefans online and chose Pedro as our host for the Fluminese v Botofogo match. He was really engaging and helpful with the registration requirements before the game and kept me up to date with everything via WhatsApp. We had a great pre-match experience in a nearby street where food and drinks were available and we were able to buy a Fluminese shirt with Pedro’s help. We also joined his brother’s group, which helped with the co-ordination and made it even more fun. Pedro was a great host, super friendly and well organised. He made everything easy and really enjoyable for my wife and I. I would highly recommend booking Pedro and going to a match as part of your Brazil / Rio de Janeiro experience

  We went to a Fluminense v. Botafogo game with Pedro and his brother. Pedro communicated clearly in the days leading up to the game and game day itself was great. A drink with the group a chance to see how local fans enjoy themselves before the game. Totally safe and very easy, even after the game, we walked back to a good spot for a beer and catching a cab. The atmosphere of the game was cool, the fans make a lot of noise and it’s easy to get drawn in. I would go with a guide/ group again, getting into and out of the stadium in particular, it is far better to know where to go (and not go), I would not bother trying to do it on your own unless you speak Portuguese. Super happy to have had the experience with Pedro.

  Fluminense–América de Cali quarter-final in Rio de Janeiro!! Pedro (and his brother) was amazing and very helpful! He took great care of me and my children (16 and 14) when we went to this game. Communication was super clear (he even gave us instructions days before arriving in Brazil by WhatsApp), meeting him was easy, and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. He brought us right into the middle of the Fluminense fans, and the atmosphere was unforgettable (be ready to stand up and sing with the crowd!). Thanks to Pedro we had one of the best football experiences of our lives! Brazilian football is indeed something totally different....Kind advice as a parent: access to bathrooms in the stadium is very easy, bring local cash or have a local PIX account for super easy access to food and drinks without leaving your seats (international credit cards not always accepted by all ambulant vendors) and leaving the stadium was totally safe, yet pre-order your transport (taxi, Uber,...) before the game for a seamless experience getting your "crowd" back to where you stay without waiting. Final word!? Get Fluminense shirts at Copacabana/Ipanema beach upfront to be part of something extraordinary!

  Pedro was an amazing host! He gave us the full Fluminense experience — from the pre-match atmosphere to the incredible energy inside the Maracanã.   We went to see Fuminese vs Internacional at Maracana with Pedro and it was a great experience end to end. He helped us to register for the facial recognition system which is required to enter the stadium. Our two boys (12 years and 16 years old) loved the experience. Highly recommend!!

  Unforgettable Rio Football Experience! Went to see Fluminense play at the Maracanã and it was incredible! Huge stadium, amazing atmosphere, and the fans are so passionate singing and chanting the whole game. Our guide was fantastic, taking us to a local pub before the match to soak up the pre-game vibes with the locals. The crowd was friendly and welcoming, and even if you’re not a big football fan, it’s such a cool local experience and a great way to feel the spirit of Rio.

  There’s only one way to see a football match in Rio, and it’s going to a Fluminense game with Pedro. One of the top highlights of my week long trip.   My sons and I had a genuinely memorable experience at the Maracana. Pedro made everything really easy so that we were free to enjoy the atmosphere before and during the match - an atmosphere we hadn’t experienced at any of the hundreds of Uk/European games we have been to. Pedro is a 100% lovely guy who finds the right balance between making us feel safe without it becoming a sanitized event. By the end of the match we were exhausted (having come straight off an overnight flight the night before) so were really grateful that Pedro put us in a taxi after the game. Would strongly recommend.

  Pedro was the perfect host and we had a brilliant time. Communication with Pedro was clear, responsive and helpful. It was clear his priority was making sure we had a great time and that we were safe. He took care of everyone in the group, making sure everyone got into the stadium, getting us a great space near the bed and ensuring we all left together (and finding us a good bar to continue to enjoy the evening). I cant recommended the experience, or Pedro’s skills as a host, highly enough. One of my best memories of the whole trip.

  What a fun experience we had with Pedro and his brother! We felt well looked after and it was a great way to go to a game to have a BUNCH of fun but to feel safe at the same time!   Pedro was a FANTASTIC host!! This was my first ever football game—and what a game it was! The vibes, the music, the atmosphere—everything was incredible. Throughout the whole experience, I felt completely safe. Pedro knew exactly where to meet so we can be with the Fans to enjoy the full experience before the game started, helped us grab beers, and guided us all the way to the game. I was running 45 minutes late (sorry!), but Pedro was so understanding. He waited until our whole group was together so we could walk to the stadium as one. After the game, he even showed us the best place to go out for drinks—and joined us, so the celebration could continue! I would 100% recommend booking this experience with Pedro.   Fantastic day from start to finish! After booking with Pedro got a quick response on a plan for the day where to meet what we will be doing pre match and directions on how to get to the ground met a few hours before kick off and had beers with other fans in the street which was like a party atmosphere with everyone in good spirits short walk into the stadium to watch the game and then helped everyone get back in taxis to any location you needed 10/10 a must go when visiting Rio

  So happy we booked the “experience” and didn’t just buy tix. It was a great way to meet others including Cariocas and truly see the game like a local. Even though it wasn’t a big game and the stands were half empty, our section was packed and the “band” played and the fans sang the entire 90 minutes! What a blast! Pedro was super chill and informative (as were some of the other fans). My teenage daughter and I toured all of Rio but our highlight was the match! Fluminense fans forever!

  Pedro was the absolute best host we could have asked for. From start to finish, getting us through the process of ordering tickets, arranging the meetup for pre-game, introducing us to a group for some fun, and getting us through security to the match all went off without a single problem.   As soon as I booked the tickets for me and my girlfriend to go to the Fla-Flu Derby, Pedro was very helpful and communicative explaining what the day would consist of and if we had any questions. He helped us get organised getting our facial recognition prepared for the Maracana as was required for the ticketing system, which was seamless. On the day, we met Pedro very easily. He took us to a street where all the fans were drinking, we had drinks with the local fans, chanted with them and Pedro making sure that we were all safe. But he didn’t need to do too much, as the atmosphere was very safe throughout. In the stadium it was amazing, although it ended 0-0, it was the best atmosphere I’d ever been to. And being with the fans, drinking in the stands, chanting with them was a once in a lifetime experience. If you are going to Rio, I’d highly recommend contacting Pedro for an easy way to experience the great atmosphere and support Fluminese. 10/10

  attending a football match in Brazil has always been on my bucket list, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations! From the electrifying atmosphere to the sheer passion of the fans, this was an experience I’ll never forget. Our guide was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. He took care of everything, from getting us great seats to explaining the chants and traditions, making the experience even more immersive. The energy in the stadium was unreal—drums beating, fans singing at the top of their lungs, and an intensity that you can only find in Brazilian football. It’s something you have to witness firsthand to truly understand. If you’re in Rio and even remotely interested in football, this is a must-do. And when I’m back, I wouldn’t do it with anyone else but this guide. 10/10, highly recommended!

  We had an excellent experience at the legendary Maracanã. The atmospehere was awesome with the Fluminense fans. Everything was well organized. Pedro helped us with the transport, picked us up without any waiting time and speaks perfect english. After the match we had a few beers together and had all together an awesome time.   I attended fluminense v botafogo with pedro and had a amazing evening with pre game meet up with fans before the game outside the maracana finishing with the fans after for a beer and safe spot to order a uber. The match itself was a tense derby affair with fluminense losing with the last kick of game but the atmosphere was great all ga i me and an amazing experience to be part of it. pedro was a 1st class host and hope to see you again in rio for another game

  Me and some friends went to the Fla Flu derby game back in July 2023 (sorry for being so slow to write a review Pedro!) and it was such a great experience. He made us all feel very welcome and we got to soak up the atmosphere together before the game. Great organisation and communication. The seats were great and Pedro was the perfect host for giving you the full fan experience. There is a great passionate and friendly family atmosphere in the stadium and it's beautiful to see (as well as the great football of course). Força Flu!

  I had a very good experience with Homefans and Pedro for a Fluminense home game at Maracana. Communication and arrangement were perfect and safe, and you will get the best feeling of the atmosphere before and during the game as you will be together with the real and local Fluminense fan.   Watched Copa Libertadores Match vs Cerro Porteno at the Maracanar, the home of Brazilian football. Firstly what a stadium, what an experience and what an atmosphere! Pedro was a great host showing us places to drink beforehand and after. Felt really safe throughout. Although it is slightly expensive would 100% recommend this if you like football and want to see how passionste Brazilians are about their football

  Great night at that Fla Copa Lib match v Pedro Porteno. Pedro was a conscientious host who looked after us very well and made us feel safe (although the atmosphere pre and at the match was very friendly and not threatening in any way). He gave us all a comprehensive background on the club before taking us to mingle with all the home fans and having a couple of beers. The Fluminese fans are passionate and the the atmosphere was electric, to witness a game at the Maracana is a once in a lifetime experience.   Navigating the entry points and neighborhoods can be daunting for a tourist, and Pedro's Homefans experience was the perfect way to enjoy the game without the stress. Partying with the local Fluminense fans before the game was also a highlight, as they are so welcoming and fun to hang with.   We had the best night at a football match in the Maracana stadium. Pedro guided us through the evening perfectly and we felt safe throughout! We started the evening with some beers close to the stadium before we walked there. The atmosphere in the stadium is the best. Its an absolute must to cross off your list if you’re a football fan in Rio.

  I would strongly recommend going to the world-famous Maracana if you are visiting Rio and I even more strongly recommend doing it through Pedro. Pedro was an amazing host. He was kind, organized, friendly, and happily answered any questions about Rio, football in Brasil, or anything else that I or the others in my group had. I have been to two other matches at the Maracana and this one was by far the best experience because Pedro was there to show us a great time before and during the match and help us get home safely after the match.

  Pedro was a excellent host, who happily answered all my questions prior to the match experience and even went out of his way to source me tickets for the Brazil v Argentina match the same week, which he didn’t have to do. Pedro went above and beyond for me acting more as a friend than a guide during my short time in the city. The overall experience was also excellent, with Pedro ensuring seats in an area with an amazing atmosphere and perfect view to ensure a top experience. Prior transport to the stadium was also organised ensuring we arrived early enough for pre match drinks which Pedro also organised for the group. So overall a top experience and an even better guide which I would highly recommend.

  My friend and I watched the semi final first leg Copa Libertadores match between Fluminense and Internacional at the Maracana and what a game we were treated to - 4 goals and a sending off! Pedro is an excellent host and he promised us a pre match street party with drinks before the game and he didn't let us down. I have never experienced a prematch atmosphere like that before. It was absolutely brilliant! Our seats were located behind the goal and for the whole time we were there, we were joining in with all of the singing and bouncing around. This was the first football game of my South American trip and it was certainly a memorable one. After the game, Pedro made sure that we all got home safely. I can't recommend Pedro and the Fluminense Matchday experience enough! It was certainly a 5 star experience.

  The experience was phenomenal! It was my first time at a match in Brazil and it lived up to my expectations. Before the game we went to the local bars and met other Fluminense fans. During the game, the crowd was insane, chanting all game and even afterwards. Amazing experience if you’re in Rio and love football, I 100% recommend.

  We watched a Copa Libertadores semi final at the Maracana. A great watch with 4 goals and a sending off. What really made this experience special though was our host Pedro. He really makes you feel like a 'Homefan' Communication was perfect from the start. He met us on time and took us to the streets around the ground to enjoy the atmosphere and some drinks. He had quite a big group but made time for all of us and introduced us to some local fans and his friends. We were behind the goal for the game where all the best atmosphere was and along with Pedro, we got involved in all the singing and bouncing. After the game he made sure everyone got home safely. I cant recommend Pedro highly enough and he made sure our first experience of South American football was a special one.

  Pedro was wonderful and took great care of us before, during and after the Fluminense match at the Maracanã. He is very attentive and communicative before the match, establishing the meeting times and points. We took the metro to the game and began the pregame with other fans next to the Maracanã. We went into the stadium with our group of around 10 people and witnessed a beautiful free kick goal with an unmatched atmosphere.   Mannnn! This was probably one of the most exciting lifetime experiences.   We had a wonderful time with our guide Pedro at Fluminese vs sporting Crystal in the Copa Libertadores. Pedro picked us and our group of 9 up from Copacabana beach. He then took us to the ground and got us beers and bbq food from local fam bars. We soaked up the atmosphere before going into the ground where Pedro helped us get club merchandise. I have been to many games around the world but the atmosphere here was incredible. The fans singing, the drums, the concourse pre game. Was incredible! Pedro also helped us get a taxi home. Overall it was an incredible experience and we were delighted they made it through to the next round and Pedro was a great guide with lots of knowledge and passion for his team!

  Coming from the states I feel like a football match at Maracanã is a must when in Rio. We had a larger group with some younger fans. Pedro did an amazing job keeping an eye on all of us.   We had an amazing Fluminense Matchday experience. Our guide Pedro is really nice and he took care that everyone feels good during the whole time. He organized everything perfectly, so we had such a great time. Before the game we were eating Brazilian BBQ and drank some beers in a street full of Fluminense fans close to the Maracanã Stadium. The atmosphere in the stadium was unforgettable because of having great seats. I highly recommend booking this!   An absolutely incredible night seeing a Fluminense/Vasco match at historic Maracanã — I would say that this was “once-in-a-lifetime,” but I have no doubt that I’ll be back in Rio and will sign up for another Fluminense match with Pedro when I do. He was an amazing host — kind, welcoming, and looked out for our safety at all parts of the night. He taught us the history of the club, the rivalries, and sitting deep in the “fan section” was an experience I’ll never forget (we left drenched in baby powder and beer in the best way possible). The cost included some drinks, food, match tickets, and Ubers at the end of the night to ensure we all got SAFELY back to Copacabana as a group. Special thanks as well to Pedro’s friend Rafaella and Pedro's brother too, who were instrumental in making sure we had fun and were safe and together as a group. I will absolutely return for another game (in my Fluminense jersey of course, and with some improved Portugese to go along with it); I consider Pedro my Brazilian brother now, and hope to return the favor at Yankee Stadium in NYC sometime soon! You won’t regret this 10-out-of-10 experience in Rio.

  To be honest, I've been sceptical about booking via homefans and go to the Fla-Flu-Derby with a tour guide. But I was desperated, common tickets were sold out and I at all cost wanted to get into the legendary Maracana. So I gave it a try - and really got surprised. Pedro not only was one of the nicest guys I've ever met, he also really is a passionate Fan of Fluminense, taught me a lot about Brazilian football culture and gave me and my girlfriend the best experience: we drank beer with the locals, he even got us into the supporters section (he seem to know everyone) and booked us a taxi back to our hostel. He really took care of us. The atmosphere was outstanding, a football match I will remember for a long time. I normally don't write reviews, but if someone deserve it then Pedro. Give him your money - you won't regret it.

  We went with a group of 12 friends together with our guide Pedro and his brother to the derby game Fluminese-Botafoga last week! I can still feel the rush and excitement when I think back on it! This was an experience I will remember all my life. First of all I would like to thank homefans! Everything from planning, questions and payment went very smooth! This organization is the best if you would like to see a football game abroad! They got me in contact with Pedro (our local host and Ultra fan of Fluminese)! I contacted Pedro for some extra questions before the game and he was super responsive and enthusiastic! He picked us up at the hotel to go pre-gaming in the streets around Maracana. So much fun to be among the real fans! Entering Maracana for me was as stepping in football heaven! Such a memorable temple!!!   I have been to many football games, but the FlaFlu derby in Maracana was a once-in-a-lifetime experience - also thanks to our guide Mattheus. This guy „breathes“ football and Flamengo. He made sure that we get the real Rio derby experience including pre-Game gatherings with the fans and seats right in between the most passionate supporters.
