Hi, I’m Gabriel, your local host! Join me on one of the most memorable experiences that a football lover can have in Rio de Janeiro: a game of Vasco da Gama at São Januário Stadium! You will have an authentic experience of going on a Vasco match as if you were a local fan, living the carioca football culture in the middle of one of the most intense fans in Brazil as if you had lived this all your life!
On this experience you will learn the local cheers and songs and get informative commentary from me on the history and traditions of “futebol” in Rio de Janeiro. We will at the lobby of your hotel (Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon beaches). From there your tour will begin as you take taxis/Uber and go to a place where Vasco da Gama supporters meet before the match. Our pre-match we will have some beers (or other desired drinks). Here I will tell you the best stories of Vasco da Gama and Carioca football and you will be aware of everything about the clubs and competitions!! Once we soaked up this pre-match atmosphere, we will make our way to the stadium.

The ground has a capacity of around 15,000 supporters and the Ultras are one of the most intense in Brazil. A nice curiosity to know about: The club raised through their youth academy names such as Romário, Juninho and Phillipe Coutinho. So there’s plenty of history to learn about! Once you’re in a match full of thrills and making sure you have amazing memories for the rest of your life, it’s time to go home!

Gabriel is an amazing host, he explained everything throughout the day. Met me near my accommodation and made sure I got an Uber back. The tour is very open an we got to walk along the side of the pitch to reach both Vasco heroes statues Dinamite and Romario. Afterwards we enjoyed a beer and a trip to the Ultras store which I would never have found without Gabriel. And to top off a great day we also got to meet club legend Bebeto who was happy to have pictures taken with us. Thank you Gabriel.

Would highly recommend Gabriel. The atmosphere at a Vasco game is really awesome. You can see how passionate the fans of Vasco are for their team and futbol in general. My wife had a minor issue at the game where she needed to move seats and Gabriel was fantastic in helping facilitate that. Thanks! I would love to go back to another Vasco game someday.

I had a fantastic time at the Vasco v Botafogo match. Gabriel was very information and responsive and proactive in addressing any questions. I booked to go on a vasco match day with Gabriel! The whole experience was amazing! Gabriel was efficient with communication and what was going to happen for this match day! He met us and the group and we stopped off at a vasco store to see some merchandise before catching an Uber to the meet up point with fans The game was moved from the San janiero but this was out with Gabriel’s control but it didn’t affect the experience! We enjoyed interaction with many fans, and enjoying bbq food and drinks! Gabriel got us into the stadium easily and we had good seats (in with the flag waving and wild fans) The atmosphere was electric! And Gabriel’s passion for the club is massive! After the game Gabriel was great in ensuring we all got back home ok! Especially for me who was going straight to the airport after the game! If you have any doubts about a Vasco game day experience, don’t have any doubts and just go for it! You won’t regret it! Obrigado Gabriel!

We booked a Vasco Da Ga Gama experience with Gabriel but unfortunately the game was ordered to be played behind closed doors. Gabriel kindly came up with an alternative and took us to a second division match at Olaria AC which turned out to be absolutely brilliant! Gabriel is a super fun host and was great with my 2 children! He met us at our hotel and took us back there after the match. During the day Gabriel shared his knowledge of Brazilian football and helped us with ordering food and drinks during the match. I now consider Gabriel a friend and I recommend anyone visiting Rio to take in a match with him. Absolute legend of a guy! We will be back soon!

There aren't enough stars to rate Matheus or our experience. He made everything incredibly easy (from meeting up, to getting to the match, getting into the match and getting home that night), which was no small feat -as there were four of us. His attention to detail, safety and fun were TOP NOTCH! We had an AMAZING time, and there's NO way we could have done it without him I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Many thanks to Matheus for an unforgettable home game from Vasco. Unfortunately, the game was moved to the Maracana Stadium due to high demand. But then there was an extremely good atmosphere in the stadium. Unforgettable support from around 57,000 Vasco fans. The atmosphere in front of the stadium was also very interesting. Of course you can also organize such a game cheaper. But together with a local, the whole thing is much more fun. Therefore a clear recommendation from me! Best greetings from Berlin.
