FC Utrecht matchday experience

I went to watch NEC game & it was an amazing experience but also Thomas was a great host with great football knowledge and it was nice to meet his friends. Utrecht has a great fan base with the live music and bar. The game was very tight, with limited chances, both set of fans were amazing and the limbs for the goal was incredible, i loved it. I would highly encourage anyone to book this experience with Thomas.

Wow, what a night at Stadion Galgenwaard on Saturday night for FC Utrecht vs FC Volendam! We met Thomas at Utrecht Centraal station and took the tram out to the stadium. From there, we went straight to the Supportershome, a huge fan bar located within the Bunnikside end of the stadium, leading out to the stand (more information here https://www.svfcu.nl/historie-home/). It's a huge room (well, two rooms really), full of cool designs and memorabilia. The place was packed long before kickoff, and full of energy. From there, it was into the stand, and Thomas found us a nice spot down the front, close enough to be part of the action but not so as to be intimidating. Myself and Thomas' other guest chose to join in with chanting, with enough songs being in English to enable us to contribute! The atmosphere was amazing right from the start, but really ramped up in the second half as the home team worked on recovering from a 1-0 half-time deficit. By the time FC Utrecht took a 2-1 lead, with about 15 minutes left, it was absolutely rabid in there, the fans stretching every sinew to will the team to victory. Eventually winning 3-1, the party carried on back into the Supportershome, where a DJ/singer led the celebrations. Honestly, you would have to go a long way to find a fanbase more passionate and rowdy than this lot, absolutely incredible. Thomas was a perfect host, full of great anecdotes and information, and making sure we were comfortable (and had our drinks topped up!) at all times! I heartily recommend a trip to FC Utrecht for any football fan, Stadion Galgenwaard is fantastic and the atmosphere is excellent. Utrecht is only 30 minutes by train from Schiphol Airport and is a beautiful city, it has all the beautiful canals like Amsterdam but far friendlier and less tourists.

I booked for the FC Twente game that has just taken place on Sunday 5th November 2023. From first booking the experience, Thomas was fantastic in reaching out to me to introduce himself and scheduling information on where we could meet as the game had a very early kick off 12.15pm. When he experienced difficulties in meeting me at the designated place due to roadworks, he informed me asap and gave me directions and help on how to get to the ground. Thomas introduced me to his wife and we all went to the Supportshome in the Bunnikside stand which is a truly fantastic experience. I have never seen anything like it inside a football ground. We watched the game from the few rows from the front of the stand which gave us a great view of the action. Thomas was a great host, has a wealth of knowledge about this great club and a really nice touch was him buying a couple of drinks for me at the Supportshome and receiving a club scarf after the game. I would wholeheartedly recommend going on this experience and having Thomas as your host. Thanks again Thomas.
