From Bratislava Old Town to Slovan | Champions League Matchday

Discover Bratislava and experience a Champions League night through the eyes of a local Slovan fan.

We’ll start in Bratislava’s Old Town with a relaxed walk through the historic centre, passing places such as Michael’s Gate and the Main Square while getting to know the city and talking football.

Along the way, I’ll introduce you to ŠK Slovan Bratislava, the club I support, its history and what it means to local fans. Slovan has produced some of Slovak football’s most recognised names, including Peter Dubovský and Ján Popluhár, while players such as Marek Hamšík also passed through the club before building their careers abroad. Before heading to the stadium, we’ll stop for a Slovak beer, talk about the match ahead and get into the atmosphere as kick-off gets closer.

Then we’ll make our way to Tehelné pole, joining Slovan supporters on their way to the game. Inside, you’ll experience the chants, scarves and energy of a European night while I help you understand some of the traditions and stories around the club.
